Florida's residential electricity rate in May 2026 stands at 15.17¢/kWh, ranking 33rd among the 50 states and DC — roughly in the middle of the national spectrum. The rate runs 3.27¢/kWh below the US average of 18.44¢/kWh, a difference of 17.7%. Both neighboring states exceed Florida's price: Georgia charges 15.84¢/kWh and Alabama 16.77¢/kWh, making Florida the cheapest of the three.
